I have been wondering what the max safe rail pressure is? I searched the forums and found one that had a conflict between 23200(I think) and 27000. are either of these true?

These are my reading off my outlook

IN PARK

At Idle: it varies between 5,750 and 6,050 PSI

At 2000 RPM it is about 16,500

At 2500RPM it is about 20,500

IN DRIVE

At WOT I can hit a max of 23,167 PSI

now this is with a power pup only

At what PSI does the relief valve pop

Are these pressures about the same as you all are seeing or are they higher??

Just want to make sure nothing is wrong.

Thanks

I believe the truck makes about 23000psi stock and with a box like the EZ or other pressure box can raise it up to 27000+psi I think just above this pressure is where people have had problems with their relief spring. I've only heard of a couple of cases over the last year or so of relief spring damage.

so My power pup really doesn't raise rail pressure at all on the performance setting great news

Thanks for the info...

I believe in inssue 47, DLeno reported at about 26500 the relief valve

starts bypassing fuel back to the tank.

I liking the Bully Dog Pup more and more. Waiting to see info

on the latest from Quadzilla before buying.
