has anyone taken a rail relief apart yet, i took one apart tonight, only to find it had debrees under the seat, it was leaking at only 2200 psi, i was going to shim the spring, but i dont know what the spring length is on a new spring, and my porta power only goes to 16000 psi, i will put it back on the truck and see how it runs, if anything it should get me back and forth to work for a few days, till the new one shows up... i also have a cp3 for an 06 taken apart in every piece possible without breaking anything, these pumps are simple, radial piston, 3 pistons with a lobe on the drive shaft... ... Oo.

How did you pull out the heli coil insert or whatever that coiled up piece is in the threaded part?I have a spare one and can measure it for you.

staked a metric bolt, tightened it down, then removed the bolt and the heli coil stayed on the bolt, i couldnt reinstall the old helicoil, i had to replace it with a new helicoil, i wouldnt take the new valve apart, the one that i did, didnt change anything, but that is probably because the spring length, is shorter now that it is weak,,, i am going to try to build some shims, that are . 010 thick, but i have to find a way to pressure test it off of the truck, my porta power doesnt go up that high... :)
