Check out these FORD Buy Back's

While surfing around the web I came across this and spent an hour and half bouncing around it. The diesel engines are pretty interesting.

Also for RR buffs

Also check out this game. I got it and I love it.

Of course, those who actually work on a railroad will notice many omissions from the game, but for those of us who can only dream it's pretty cool.

I haven't worked for the railroad. I have been the engineer on on a tug boat with an V-8 EMD. Also maintained some gen-sets 2 with 1710 Cummins V-12's and 1 ALCO V-16.

the 20 min audio clip of the run away train is interesting to listen to... i moved units around a few times [like to get a smokey one out of the shop quickly] that have been low on air. not a fun feeling when you want to stop and there is nothing there when you apply the brakes. we usually charge the system to 80-90psi with shop air [60 minimum needed i feel to start moving] but that takes time. the few times i've moved with low air, i leave the hand brake applied and over power it with the throttle so i've got something wanting to slow me down once i get out side the door.

Why can't the locomotive compressor charge the tanks? What do you mean by the "hand brake"... it's not air operated?

That's why you should always keep your hobbies and your work separate. ;)
