OK I'm looking for some feedback on this as it just pisses me off

My rig was identified at being in Salt Lake on or before 29 March and need to be trucked to Idaho. Now the last couple of weeks it seams to be slipping to the right and now the latest update is an ETA Window of 04/27/2018 - 05/01/2018. Does anyone know why it takes so long to get a rig processed at the rail yard aka "BROKEN OUT OF JAIL"?

Thanks
Dave

It's frustrating as heck......my 2016 sat in the rail yard for almost two weeks.......and my dealer is about twenty miles from the rail yard.....

Sam

Follow the money ... what is making more money for the railways, hauling oil or some guys truck? It is beyond frustrating - i waited 4 weeks for my truck to arrive.

This has been going on for a while now. Seems there is a shortage of Locomotives and track due to all the oil being shipped. Remember when they wanted to build that Keystone pipeline? All the tree huggers said NO they didn't want drilling up north. Well they won the pipeline didn't get built however they are drilling and the oil has to be moved enter the trains.....

Thanks everyone it's at its final rail station just need to get on a truck to the dealership. Hey its close to home and I'm just impatient kind of guy. I told them I would go to the rail yard and drive it back or them.

that's not too bad mine got to salt lake on or about 29 March and is schedule to depart between 27 April and 1 may. 30 day at the rail head.....

The rail yard in Denver or at least one of them is at the south end of town. Sometimes you can see hundreds and hundreds of vehicles parked there waiting to be moved. Funny thing is you never see transporters there. Just hundreds of cars and the rail cars off loading not sure I have ever seen a truck transport loading and I drive by the place frequently. Also don't seem to remember any trucks there just cars. The facility is quite large.

Well, I see nothing has changed. My 2014 sat at a rail yard or on a railcar for several weeks. It was built in Mexico, not too far away from the L.A. area where I lived at that time. Then sat in Texas if I recall correctly and then in San Bernardino County. I ticked off the broker calling him numerous times. Seems they understand the delay. I did not. I NEEDED the truck. It's not like this was going to sit around at my house. It was delivered to a dealer in Whittier and I finally got it after a 6 week delay. maybe it's a shortage of car carriers. Or they wait until a full load can be taken to that dealer. But I pay for the shipping so why not get it to me sooner? Just sayin'. Nothing has changed nor will it. Great truck tho. Worth the wait.

wow, you guys are scaring me here. My truck left Mexico late March. It averaged 4.5 miles per hour up to Chicago on BNSF, then east to PA on CSX. CSX moved it pretty quick from Chicago to PA, in fact the ETA had been slipping on the BNSF route (it was 2 days late), then it went back on time once CSX got it. It was unloaded in rail yard on time 4/16 and it due at dealer 4/16-4/20. Today is 4/20 :(

Hopefully BNSF is better that UP. mine keeps going to the right by the time it gets to the dealer it will be in salt lake 30 days. I can push it up the road 5 hours faster then this turn rate.
