Not horns specifically, just thought a railroad junk yard might be a great place to get some really neat stuff. Thanks for the link, Paychk... I had done a couple Google searches but didn't see anything promising. I'll look harder next time.

All the trade-ins on EMD orders go here. And as far as I know... most wrecked EMDs not scrapped on site go here too.
 
i can't think of one, as all our scrap units are sold to NRE or VMV for parts or they rebuild them and sell them off to short lines or lease them out [as B units as they never lead... ]



although, i dig through the scrap bins [and parts bins;)] for my goodies... i might have a pair of GE fdl cam gears coming my way... they are big heavy [±150lbs] piece of steel... if i can get them, they will make a great base for a pedistle grinder and small drillpress stand. .
