shortbox Dodge more likely to hit?

Does anyone know if you have to drill for the brackets? I understand that the rails are a no drill application. If I do not have to have a clean bed, I can save a little money going with the brackets

I purchased the Superglide autoslider this year for my new shortbed Ram.

I love it. Nothing in the bed at all except the four holes in the floor of the bed.

The only thing I don't like about the hitch whatsoever is the weight of the thing. It is about 300 lbs. just for the hitch itself after you drop in all of the pins and crossbraces(which are lightweight to handle).

Love the hitch for the shortbed Dodge. Think it is the ONLY smart option for fifth wheelers. Because the bed is 3 inches shorter than Ford or GM, we need the extra cab protection that the hitch gives (automatically, even in an accident).

The manual sliders can't touch that added safety feature.

Good luck Oo.
