No wipers - keeps blowing fuses. Motor may be finished. Trying to get cowl off to check it out(am I heading in th right direction?)and I cant seem to get the wiper off the shaft. I can't remove cowl w/o doing this. how do you get them off? Has anyone else had this problem? I did a search but no definitive answer. Whatever info you can send my way would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Getting the wiper off is easy, just find the little tab under the arm and lift it up and the wiper just lifts off...

As far as the wiper blowing fuses, sure sounds like the motor... get some Rain-x

With hood raised lift the arm of wiper up ,its hinged while holding against the spring wiggle the arm and raise the end on the splines to remove the spring locks the arm in place to replace again bend the hinged end and replace end on the splines align the wipers so that the wiper will not move to far to the right or left note where it sits and or mark before removing . Thanks I got the wipers and the cowl off. I have a question concerning the wiper motor. It doesn't blow a fuse when the motor is unplugged and it does when it is. Would a bad motor mean that it wouldn't work at all or that there is a short in it? The reason I ask is I hooked the motor up to my battery and it runs. Do I have a short before the motor?

Ditto on the Rain-X. You won't believe how good it works. With it you won't need wipers after about 30 MPH. It is one of those products which is OUTSTANDING.

I have been unable to tell it was raining, when it fact it was pouring hard, using Rain-X at highway speeds.

Rocket, check voltage at the connector for motor at low and high settings. I'm not sure how Dodge drops the voltage on motor. If there are 3 pins post the voltage for each, referenced to ground. Also check the amperage of the motor when you connected it to battery.

Could be the switch or line . If no way to meter it and you have a motor 12v try to run it , or a light bulb for a load and it will show if its the motor end or back to the switch . Just a idea. Ron Bissett in metro Louisville Ky

Replaced the motor this week and everything works great! Just a note for anyone having the same issue - if you buy a new wiper motor from Dodge you will have to get a reflash on your computer. I bought a used one. Thanks again for all the help.
