I am trying to place an order for a 2014 Longhorn Limited 3500 4WD, Mega Cab, Single Rear Wheel with the Aisin Trans. The dealer informs me they are making the 3500 in the dual RW with the Aisin but no Aisin's are available for the singles. Has anyone heard when or if the Aisin will be available for SRW?

All 3500's, SRW or DRW, are available with the Aisin. Tell the dealer to do a little research...

I have driven at least 2 2013 3500 SRW trucks with the Aisin. Unless they made some major changes in production for 2014 that I am not aware of, they are available.

Is that a pickup or cab and chassis? Is the SRW 3500 pickup available with the Aisin and the 385 hp 850 ft. Lb torque engine?

Thanks

I ordered a 2014 3500 SRW 4x4 CC LB with AISIN in late October, still waiting for production to begin. I had to wait about a week for the order to be accepted. I think its a parts thing. Tell your dealer to kept trying.

Pickup, the 385/850 motor is a pickup only motor the C&C get a 325/750 motor.

Were you able to order air suspension?

I would have loved to have the air suspension but it's not available yet. I think I would have had to wait until about March or April to order. I will check with my dealer and see what the cost would be to add later.

It should be noted that is simply adding "helper" airbags, which is completely different than the factory system. They will help with ride somewhat, but not like a true air ride system will.

A system similar to factory such as a 4-tec or a Kelderman will cost 3-5,000 installed.

Honestly, if you really want the air ride suspension, be patient and wait for the factory to produce them. I'm seriously considering trading my '13 in on a mid year '14. By the time you factor in the sure to be incentives and all mid year, I'm sure I can trade up cheaper than installing a Kelderman.

Good advice. With that in mind, I think I will hold off ordering a 2014 untill after the first of the year and see if air suspension is available.
