Ram 2019 4x4 High output 6.7 cummins 3500. How hot should the engine run? I believe it should run around 180 to 200. My truck is running at 165 to 175 (temp outside 75 to 90 degrees), when its cold ( Temp. outside 20 degrees) it runs 125 to 135. I live in upstate NY. I have taken it to the Doge Dealership and they said normal engine heat should be 170. It throws no codes when they put it on the diagnostic. All recalls have been done, new injector pump, window wiper and torch specs on lug nuts. When you turn the AC off the engines heats up slightly a few degrees, when you pull hill with no AC on, it will get up to 190 but as soon as you go down the hill it drops back down into the low 170's really quick. No towing. No load.
I have called the Dodge Tech line, no help at all. Cummins can't help because Dodge owns the right to engines. Called another dealership, they couldn't give me an answer either. Would greatly appreciate your input.
thank you
