I been thinking about buying those nv5600 transmission coollers from Genos for my 2007 3500 4x4 long wheel base 6. 7 with the 6 speed manual trans to help it live longer. Prob is i have installed the 5 inch exhaust, what i was wondering is i could double them on the left side of the truck with longer bolts and leave the right side alone since it is so close to the 5 inch exhaust pipe?? Has anybody done this or just ran one on the left side where there is room for it???

get the trans-cool ones yes it fits the 5" i trimed a little of two of the fins and wraped the pipe by the transmission, this made a big drop in temp. go back with two gallons of penzoil syncromesh, this is one quart for the trans-cool and one quart over full for the front bearing. i do not have a pix loaded in photo bucket but if you pm me your email i will send

I agree with wrapping the downpipe. I recently did this on mine. I don't think it matters much at highway speeds, but around town and slow towing I am sure it helps a lot.

Thanks for the recomend on trimming, will order them monday and do as you recomend, where can i get exhaust wrap/WHat is called maybe napa or a big truck place has it down here somewhere or did you get it off of the web?????
