I saw what I thought was a 4500 Ram, but I wasn't anywhere near Mexico... ... . it was the grocery store. Turned out to be a large woman with a grocery cart.

Dodge did make 5500's at least. When we bought our new KME fire apparatus in 2000... they showed us photos of completed conventional cab fire engines using the Dodge Medium Chassis. Looked a little different with the taller grill but none the less it was there. There were even photos published in a popular fire apparatus magazine/publication. I bet if I spend some time at the station looking... I can find the mag. We tend to keep everything like that. I've still got brochures for "brand new" 1995 trucks there.



Come to think of it... I think it was the fire department for a Chrysler plant down there. There were three fire engines produced for Chrysler at the plant.
