Ram Box question....

Does anybody know why the Ram Box wasn't carried over to the HD trucks?

Has anyone actually seen a RamBox? I have seen them at shows and such, but not on a single truck on the road. I would imagine that the RB is lighter construction and couldn't hold the weight rating that the HD trucks are rated to. It's also a shorter bed, but I would gladly give up bed length for lockable storage on the sides.

I saw one in a half ton at the dealer a while back and was shocked to see how much of the bed space it took up, sure the boxes would be nice but that small of a bed would be almost useless to me.

Takes up too much bed space... the entire wheel well from the front of the bed to the tailgate from the floor to the bed rail is encapsulated... your bed essentially becomes 4'+/- wide
