Earlier this afternoon I saw a 4th gen Ram Cummins burning on the opposite side of I-10's shoulder, heading westbound. It was just east of Comfort TX. The fire was very much in the cab and engine bay, but I could still see the Cummins emblem. It started a pretty sizeable brush fire.

No news yet that I have found. No pictures either, I was driving responsibly.

Last year, I was on loop 1604 in San Antonio TX and saw a Ram 1500 3.0L diesel fully engulfed on the side of the road. Bad stuff.

Here is mine.. What a day it was.. Nothing burns like a dodge, 100 gallons of diesel, 120 gallons of hydraulic fluid and some gasoline..

Transfer case blew. Well more like went off like a bomb. Mine was the third truck in the fleet to blow the t case and catch fire. Other 2 where ok with minor fire damage and transmission damage. Mine was a total loss. Shut down 130 toll road for almost 2 hours while it burned out and got cleaned up. Never been in a vehicle that caught fire while I was still inside. Heck I was still rolling. By the time I came to a stop and ran 3 cars off the road it was already engulfed.

I can say I have never been in a vehicle on fire either. That sounds like I might have needed new underwear by the end of it, lol.
I usually have the family with me when driving my truck, with two in car seats.
