Ram falling on its Horns....

The engine runs smoothe until i tromp on it from a stop or going down the road. When it starves out of fuel it white smokes then pops out the tail pipe. I changed the fuel filter and no improvement. #@$%!

Its my 2003 5. 9L.

check pressure with a gauge and/or try a new lift pump.

I would say lift pump m ine acted same way when mine went out . Does your fuel bowl fill up when you drain it ?
