After seeing another members mount for his Garmin SPIII GPS, I asked about where he got it. He directed me to Ram Mounts . Their gear can be ordered online at GPS City .

I got mine a few days ago, and the thing is unbelievable rock solid. I ordered their Laptop mounting system for our work van and it is very well made. If anyone is looking for a universal, interchangeable mounting system for everything from radar detectors to radios to whatever... ... ... . check them out.

hmm....

I have no experience with the RAM mounts, but I did just make a 900 mile drive with my new Garmin GPSMap 196 sittin' on my dash. I used the supplied vehicle mount for it, as it is 3 mode capable. It worked perfect, is solid as all get out, and is fully adjustable (twists and tilts). I was happy and impressed, mostly with the GPS though... I'm glad my $1000 investment works in scenerios other than when I'm flying.

BTW, where do ya'll mount your handsfree kits for your cell phones? I'm going to be getting a Nokia 6360 here in two weeks, and will also install the good Nokia handsfree kit in my pickup... . just looking for ideas as to where to put it. Oh, and if ya'll have heard about the Jabra FreeSpeak (wireless handsfree headset), I'll just say IT"S AWESOME!!! I love mine already. Kinda spendy, but well worth it (especially as an x-mas gift).

Sorry for rambling.

Later, Josh.

Ditto, I love my Ram GPS mount on my quad, if it holds up to that, it's gotta be tough, goin' on 3 years now, and never moved from where I set it.

Later, Rob
