Know all about that road, been on it with higher temperatures than what they tested in, but only around 14K GCVW towing my boat to Lake Mohave or Lake Mead. The only time I had an issue was climbing out of Cottonwwod Marina into Searchlight at 120*, a 17 mile grade that will kick your arsh if your truck has any issue at 120* heat, but it was in my 94 2500HD gasser. The clutch fan failed and I had to run the heater until at the top in Searchlight.

Thanks for posting the video. I enjoyed it.

I did as well, then discovered that there is a cold weather test video that shows up after viewing this one. I was scoffing at the -10 below test and the slush/water test. That's not cold... ... ... ;)

I would love to test one for them up here during a real winter, always happy to help... ... ... :D

Mike. :)

Mike,

Write them a letter describing your Maine weather with photos to back it up and offer your services to drive one of their trucks for a year. Tell them you'll provide a detailed report. How could they pass up and opportunity like that?

Don't worry fellas, Dodge doesn't do any real cold weather testing in my opinion. They send trucks up here to the local dealers and watch the warranty claims pile up, then they know what doesn't work in the cold!

I had the dealer in Fairbanks try to deny warranty on my 2000 dodge, the power steering pump went out and they said I didn't put in synthetic therefore warranty didn't cover the pump. I asked them where in the manual it stated you had to but in synthetic, they covered the pump. Gene's Chrysler is a real piece of work.

Well, thats disappointing that the Ram only beat an F-550 Ford by a minute or so... . As someone who has to drive an F550 every day, saying you beat it by a minute is like saying your the smartest person at a retard convention. .

Phhhhwwwwttttttpppp.

When they do Denver to Dillon and back on I-70 over Eisenhower or Loveland pass during the summer then I'll be impressed. 7% grades, 80*+ and no air at 11k in altitude... Double bonus if the do it over a holiday weekend. Lets see those trucks get back up to speed after getting stuck in the right lane behind a semi.

Return trip back to Denver on a summer weekend should be 1. 5 hours, and typically is closer to 6+ with all the traffic. Lets see those brakes hold up with that weight going down hill.

If you had reached the top of the hill, parked, and were waiting for the F550 to catch up, "a minute or so" would seem much longer. At 60-mph a minute world equate to a mile behind.
