Best Fueling box for MPG?

Two thoughts to bear in mind:

1. The short answer to the question as you have worded it: no, the Ramifier will not "void" your warranty. that is, automatically or without contest.

2. As a matter of practicality, any power enhancement has the potential to be named as the cause of a drivetrain warranty]

Concepts (1) and (2) can and have been interpreted and applied differently depending on the dealer. The overriding principle is Moss Magnesun (sp): an after market part cannot itself (because it is after market) cause a warranty issue and must be proven to be the cause of failure before a warranty denial.

But some dealers slap on a restricted warranty as soon as they see physical evidence of a box. On the other hand, some dealers' service departments sell mild performance boxes, install them for the customer, and go to bat for the customer if there is drivetrain failure with a box on there.

But in general, be aware that you pay in order to play, you are your own warranty station, and that this question comes up about every week :D

DLeno, I've never been in the chat before, don't even know if I know how. Anyway I took the Ramifier off and unhooked the batteries and the code went away. The code came back when I hooked the ramifier back up so that answered our ? ? Problem now is it won't go away . I unhooked the batteries and it didn't go away . How long do you have to leave the batteries unhooked

before your codes errase.

Steve

gotta be a defective wiring harness or connector. sounds like you did the right thing. If everything is hooked up right, even a broken ramifier (one that worked at one time) is not capable of setting those codes. I think the connector for IAT is mis-wired or broken -- that message has "disconnected sensor" written all over it.

as for the codes going away, in general there are some codes that require a certain number of engine starts before they will clear with even a scan tool. I think you'll probably wait no longer than it takes to go to AutoZone and have them hook up their scan tool :Dbbb

I called TS Performance (270-746-9999) and ask about the Ramifier voiding my warranty. The man I spoke with said it would not void my warranty if I pulled it off before taking it in for service. I then ask him if they can tell if you have had it on after you pull it off and he said no.

It seems like I read somewhere that tkey can tell if you have had a box on and then removed it.

Just wondering for future reference.

Thanks DLeno for your thoughts on the matter.

Is this problem a fluke? i have been looking for someone who owned this box for about 2 weeks. This is the first negative thing I have seen. What would the advantages of owning a Ramifier versus an EZ be?

There's a way to clear the codes without a scan tool, but I don't know the details. My cousin had codes and the dealer explained to him over the phone, step by step, how to clear them.

well, just remember what motivates the folks who give you an answer and that will usually reveal an interesting pattern...

If you had drivetrain failure due to component stress and the dealer was able to show compelling evidence of a box, you can bet you would be in a warranty dispute. All boxes are like this including the Ramifier.

That said I don't have any information suggesting that the dealer can detect the presence of a pressure box. But if you can tell me how much historical information from fuel pressure and MAP is stored inside the ECM then I could tell you. In my opinion, it is highly unlikely that they could tell electronically. the most compelling evidence is physical

Massdiesel: Hey Scotty, just thought I would let you know that I love this Ramifier box!

I am averaging 17 + mpg, and this thing drives like a completely different truck. My only problem is spinning the tires when the roads are wet... :D

By the way, do you still have my transmission pan lying around ?
