Competition Fuel heater removal for High Perf engine

I went down to the track in Union Grove on Friday night to race from 6-10. . I almost didn't make it because on my way back to the house, I blew, and literally BLEW an intercooler boot. . Nice gash in the side of it. .

Not sure how it happened, it wasn't the inner fender that caused it, as the tear was on the opposite side.

First Run with the new mods

My girlfriend was in the truck for this first run, but since I ran below a 13. 9 (as expected [whistle] ) you have to run without a passenger and with a helmet.

4WD Launches at 27-32PSI have a lot to do with those 60 foot times Oo.

What do you plan to be at weight wise un-full? (no spare, one battery, 1/8 fuel, ect)



Dang you 2nd genners are light.



I hope to be at 7000# gutted, but with seats in.

I believe I weigh in somewhere around 7,100lbs or a bit over. . Without me in the truck (I weigh 280)

Those runs were made with dual batteries, 2 12" subs in the back, a tailgate, and other assorted crap in the truck.

This calc seems to be rather close in accuracy.

525rwhp and 7400 pounds (including you) 13. 4.



If you plug in 500hp, and 7400#'s. 13. 6 comes up.
 
Jason that cal. is about right on for me, only thing is i run the 1/8th so i was shocked too see a 1/4 time at 12. 96... ... . 650hp puts me at 12. 2 at 106mph Oo. almost there :D

It's ricer day in Rockfall raceway there in WI this saturday, need to call to see if they let trucks run... .



My clutch is breaking in more and more, the transmission is loosening up (hope it's just not breaking). We should hit up a full 1/4 mile track... In a few weeks, I might hit up that 1/8 your talking about as well.
 
We did Rock Falls 2 years ago and we were treated like crap despite how fast we were going, all of us swore that we would not go back. So to try to get this group to go is going to be hard unless they have changed there tune, I know they were looking for a new annoucer last year... ... ... cause he really hated our trucks, and the ricers... ... ... . if you do go out, you need to run on a fun day. You can run anything there on them events, snowmobiles, bikes, etc. . Later Jim.

I won't get out that way till June 10th, Haisley invited me to the pull, but may come out on the 9th and watch the drags... ... ... ..... DaGrove is a ways for me to drive since I am over by the Twin Cities of MN, nice numbers though. Tanks though, I will keep you in mind if I have to visit the inlaws in New Berlin, I can always sneak away... ... ... later Jim.
 
I was there on a test and tune day lasty year about this time. Getting my stock base line numbers. The diesel performace shop out of Roseville was out there, they weren't smoking up the place nearly as much as you would :)



What other full 1/4 drags are there around here?

Ya that is Brian and wife from Power House diesel, nice folk. She runs her truck at IRP also... ... as well as they came and pulled at our truck pull in Osceola last year. Fueling curve in a 3rd gen is different... ... ... . plus she has a few goodies under the hood. Go race her once... ... ... ... ... . :D

yeah, she left me with 4 trucks lenghts my frist run ever with the truck.



low 13's where the numbers they were running last year if I recall correctly



I'm a bit quicker now tho :)



I need a turbo. I've figured out how to get the attitude to show me 41PSI now. The need for better air is on the horizon.

I hit 13. 39 just short of 100MPH last Friday night. . Just did a few more tricks, and I am confident that I can make it into the 12s!
