I squashed an 8pt whitetail yesterday with my '99' 2500QC. The stock bumper is trashed and will have to be replaced. I can't see going back stock and having the same thing happen again. I want to go heavy duty, but I'm not sure what to buy. I have been looking at Ranch Hand for a while, but found Buckstop's web site yesterday and they seem impressive. I'm looking for imput on both, or other suggestions. Thanks David J

Buckstops are verry well made. One hint. Get all the options. I wish I would have got 4 light-holes instead of two.

Check my gallery.

Dorian at Buckstop is top notch. I ordered mine with four light buckets (holes) before they were even an option and he bent over backwards to make the brackets accept my lights (Lightforce) not just a generic mount.

I can't say enough good about about the service & the quality of the bumper.

Love my buckstop, got the 4 lights and baja bar. you will need a leveling kit. my truck dropped about an inch in the front. One heavy SOB. I guess PM me if you want to know how much i paid.

Well I stoped by "buck stop" friday afternoon and toured their facility. Top notch and VERY busy. I order mine on the spot but have to wait 5 weeks. :{

They are very stout and well made. I have been following most comments on the various bumpers and they have ranked very well. I wanted to use a "local" vendor if possible.

I did order mine with the extra light buckets. This way I can mount the factory fogs (with a little work) and some extra 5" spot lights when I need to see down the road a piece.

My wife was very impressed with the bumper.

We were also next door geting some special tile work done for a kitchen counter top. :D

But honest honey, I didn't realize the were next door... ... . :-laf :D ;)

buckstop bumpers are made in the good ole USA and are extremely strong and very well made and really heavy duty. ranch hand are made in china or made from chinese steel and are inferior to a buckstop bumper. :-laf :D :D :D

I actually looked at a Ranch Hand the other day (not to buy as I have a Buckstop and it is great). The thing that got me was that I could actually pick up the Ranch Hand. Not so with the Buckstop.

If nothing else, the Buckstop is definitely built heavier. Install was very easy and everything fit perfectly.

What look are you going for I like the Buckstop, but I bought my truck with Ranch Hands. The Ranch Hands are good bumpers and I like the offroad look of the Buckstops. As far as protecting you and the truck I would think they all do that. I think the question is what style do you like. I cut the webbing out of mine to give it more of the offroad look.

me personally i like ranch hands-tried and true. but to each is its own. like hilda said all depends on what look u are goin for. i like the country look-ranch hand. but if ur into more of a modern look then maybe something else. what you choose its a hell of a lot better than those stock ones.

The Reunels are superbly well-built. One of the original aftermarket bumpers, they supply for the CHP as well as some Caltrans trucks. I have their rear polished stainkless bumper with welded hitch and round backup lights whicht hey cut in custom for me. They did a great job, and were great to work with, though it did take about 4 weeks to get it done. They installed it too free of charge as long as you can get to their facility.

I have an UTE Bull bar on the front. NICE looking T6 aluminum alloy--the whole bumper weighs in at less then #130, but is STOUT!! I also got the TorkLift front reciever mounting option that is built just for the UTE. 2" front reciever rated at 9000#'s-- access where the license plate would go.

You could go for a custom bumper from these guys.

Dodge Trucks

I had a front and rear made for my truck (first 2 photos in the second row of the gallery)

Quality built stuff the way YOU want it.

Just another option.

I shopped and looked at about every brand out there and I went with Ranch hand for the simple reason of Its the most bang for the buck. :-laf That has 2 meanings to it.
