Traffic stopped abruptly in front of me this morning. I had to stand on the crappy Dodge brakes to keep from hitting the vehicle in front of me. While my ABS was going, I'm thinking: "Man someone is going to rear-end me". Well they did.



If you don't have a replacement rear bumper, I highly recommend one. All I got was some minor bumper scratches. In this case, the nail was tougher than the hammer.

Very well done!!! Gotta love it when a big hunk-o-metal does it's job like it's supposed to.



Congrats on the kill... better paint a van on the bumper to mark it's first.

Last time I had to stand on the brakes hard I got hit from the rear also. Poor guy in a Acura Legend rearended me. Totaled his car. I had to pull the pin on my hitch to drive down off of his front. The drop bar on my hitch was bent down and pinned inside his engine compartment. We had to push his car off the road. I got his info and left him waiting for a tow truck And that was with a stock bumper. The only damage I got was to my draw bar and the cover that is on the 7 pin connector.

my truck has been through me rear ending a mustang, being rearended by a izuzu rodeo (he was 2 feet shorter afterwards), being run off the road in TN about 2am into bridge railing, backed into, stolen..... you get the picture. After the first wreck with the mustang, I made the decision that I would make my truck safer than that tin piece of junk it came with, since then, it has repelled 2 deer and a little import car.

My replacement front bumper will be a big shiny UTE but I haven't made my mind up for the rear yet. These pictures are pretty persuasive though..... Glad to hear it wasn't too serious..... Perhaps if I sent you a regular supply of sauerkraut, you could improve upon the brakes, Popeye style
