2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Rancho 9000 questions

I am wondering what settings I should run my Rancho's at. I tow about 4-5k about 800 miles a week. Right now there set at 3 in the front and 3 in the rear. When I am empty I go 3 in the front and 1 in the rear. Should I be going higher when I am towing? Like 4 and 4?



Theses shocks are very cool. I flipped down the tail gate and set the rears on 1 and pushed down on the gate a few times and can feel and hear the shocks working. Then I did the same on setting 5 and WOW is there a differece on how much they stiffen up, I can hardly get the truck to bounce.

That is a question only you can answer. I have mine set at 3 when empty. When hauling I go 4 in front and 5 in rear. This works for me.

We run 3 front/2 rear empty and 4 front/5 rear towing (13,500 lb 36' 5ver). This works best for us, but as Okie said, only you know what you like.

mine are set at 5 all the way around. but if i had it to do over again i would never buy another thing from rancho as long as i live, their tech support is bottom of the line and their service is even worse. hope you have some luck with a ****ty company.

We run ours at 3/1 empty and 3/5 when hauling a 4,000 lbs. camper. Occasionally, when the roads have been especially bad, we have reduced the pressures to 1/3 and float down the road, but the control definitely suffers. Also of note, a friend of ours had a 3500 like ours with the stock shocks and when he hauled the camper, the result was a porpoising or rocking of the load on most concrete freeways. With the Ranchos set differently between the front and the back, that problem is gone. We also have the in-cab control so I could experiment with the setting/effect as we drove under different conditions.
