I've run 9000 shocks on two past vehicles with great success. Twice I purchased them from Summit Racing (800-230-3030). From what I understand, Rancho is doing their buy 3 get one free sale which is a pretty good deal, and Summit only charges a $7. 95 handling fee and no additional freight. Good luck!

Check the TDR archives!

You might want to try and run a search with the keyword RS9000 or Rancho or some other meaningful combination... . This has been kicked to death on the TDR many times before. Let the TDR archives come to your rescue and take the hassle out of your search.

best price on RS9000

Wolfgang, you're in luck! I found a place in Carson City ( you won't even have to pay shipping :D ) called Custom Truck on 395. I got them for $45. each, better than the Summit 4 for 3 deal.

Good luck

smokin deal

Yup... I was real happy with the score:D :D

4Wheel parts

If you really want to start a ruckus, www.4wheelparts.com

has a price match and beat the competion pricing policy. When I bought mine a while back, I called them with my best price and they beat it by a few bucks.

rs9000

Ok guys... sorry I was wrong about the price it was not $45. 00... . it was $44. 50 :D :D

Anyways here's their # 775 885-8111. I'm sure they'll be happy to get some more business. I will be in their store over the weekend and I will let them know they'll be getting calls from some eager customers. Oo. Oo. Wolfgang was lucky they're in his back yard.

Happy shopping

Chris

Does anyone know the part # for the 4x4 3500 RS-9000 Shocks

Thanks for the phone # Chee will call in the AM.

Thanks, TJ

Rancho #

TJ, I just installed a set of RS 9000's on my 01. 5 3500 4X4. The two numbers are R9197, R9198. I don't know which # is for the front or back. The first thing I noticed without a load is the back end does not jar as much when going over RR tracks. I have not put a load on it yet. I have a steel deck as you can see in the sig. and run 3 on front and 2 on back.

Hopes this helps.

I got a different price???

Chris,

I just called Custom Truck to order a set of the RS9000's but I got a price of $60/shock. I mentioned the TDR and that a price was posted here different from the price quoted but the fellow claimed no knowledge of any special and wasn't even aware of any 9000's sold recently.

Was there a specific person that you spoke to in order to get the price or is there something I should mention? To clarify, I called the Custom Truck shop in Carson City at the 775-885-8111 number. It sounds like I may have gotten the wrong guy to talk to...

TIA.

3500 R9000's?

Has anyone bought some for the rear of their 99' 2wd 3500? Do I need to measure before ordering? Or when you call these shops do they know exactly what part numbers to use for the particular application? I know there are several different part numbers for the R9000's depending on the ride height?

Thanks SWC, I could not call, the # listed yet I've been in the Hay field. I will call Monday morning . Maybe by then we will find out who we need to order from to get the good price. I think we need price line . shocks and other goodies too.
