Well, Ive got 3 out of 4 installed! I ran out of light and it started to rain, so that was enough for me. I have to do the drivers front yet... and on my 97, the brake stuff sure sticks out of the firewall a long way. Any helpful hints on how to make room to remove/install the shock before light tomorrow?

BC,

I removed the shock tower. If I remember correctly, I couldn't get it past the brake lines, so I just "pushed it aside", i. e. , rotated it around and down to move it out of the way. Hope this helps.
