I just installed Rancho 9000s. I set them on 3 for the front and 2 for the back. I took a short drive and the ride was much improved. I would like to know what others have found to be the "best" settings at different road conditions and loads.

Settings

I also use setting 3 on the front shocks and setting 2 on the rear when empty. When towing I'll use setting 3 all the way around.

Drove about 400 miles today and the ride was much improved. I started on 3 front and 2 back and changed to 1 back. I don't clench my checks (both sets) every time I aproach a bridge joint. How will I know if my settings are to low for the load/conditions? My old OEM shocks seem to have good resistance but they had a lot of pressure ( pre-load) on them when I took them off, kinda like air shocks. I got where the truck shook so bad at every bump that I could not set a cup of coffee on the console. I drove 100 miles this morning and I did not spill a drop of joe.

I run 3 in the front and 1 in the rear unloaded. Depending on the load behind I adjust my rears upwards from there. With my 35' TT behind me (800 lb tongue weight) I set it on 3 in the rear, higher with larger weights. When off roading I put it on 5 in the front and leave it on 1 in the rear - that works great. This is after about 25,000 mile on these shocks in a variety of conditions.

I installed my Rancho shocks this week.

What a difference!! Running 3/Front, 1/Rear mt.

It rides better, and even drives better.

I'll put them through the real test on Arkansas I40 tomorrow morning.

The best $300 I have spent on my truck to date.

Ranchos should come as standard equipment.

I just installed Rancho's on the rear and am inpressed. Will now order the front's, should have done that in the first place. Have the rears set on 2.

Just did a review about the 9000s I installed last weekend.

I towed my 14,000 plus 5er. Set the rear to 5 and the front to 3. When I undocked from the 5er I went to a setting of 3 in the front and 1 in the rear. After a day, I went to 2 in the front and 1 in the rear. The ride is good.
