I have a 2001 stock dually w/a 6 speed, I ordered a raptor 100, and I recieved a 150, would it be wise to install this as I won"t be adding a lot of mods for more power, maybe a programer& injectors. I tow a 5th wheel[heavy] some times so should I retun it or install? I heard the fuel heats up

using this high pressure pump using on a stock truck thanks

I would just install it, i don't think it will cause a problem. Your sig does not state where your from, but here in Northern Indiana, the winters are pretty cold and the extra fuel movement would be a plus in the cold. And towing heavy will keep you in plenty of fuel.
I have a Raptor 100 and love it.
Good luck

dfontaine; I just ordered a raptor 100 bout an hour ago, hope they send me a 150 by mistake, too by the way, the pressure is adjustable by way of an adjusting nut on the pump, so you can tailor the fuel delivery pressure to your power level/ needs

Looking at different fuel systems. How did you rate this system?

Thanks

If this was directed at me, if not sorry. I looked at all of the options available at the time. I actually replaced the stock LP (ran for 128,000 miles) with the same pump from Cummins and relocated it on the frame rail with the Genos Garage big line kit. That pump last exactly 100 miles, no joke. I really did not want to spend the cash for the pumps with filters and just wanted a replacement that worked with the relocation kit that I already had installed. I also wanted to keep the stock filter/heater, etc... I called Glacier Diesel planning on going with the Airtex pump. He was closing them out at that time and recommended the Raptor. I have no problems, steady 15 PSI all the time. The lowest my gauge has ever read is 13 PSI. My truck is mostly stock, so keep that in mind. I know I could have spent more money, but so far I really like this pump. It is quiet and does what it is supposed to do. Hope this helps, sorry if the question wasn't directed at me.

GKurzich, thanks, thats who I bought from too, how did the install go on top of the fuel tank w/ the quick disconnect? did you increase the size of your line from fuel cannister to vp pump, was told I could leave like it is --- stock thanks

The install went well, it's not hard at all. I originally put the Vulcan relocation kit (big line kit from Genos) on, so I did increase the line size between the filter and the injection pump. That kit replaced all the fuel lines with bigger lines, except the one that comes directly out of the tank. When I installed the Raptor pump (my pump came with enough fuel line to go from tank to pump and from pump to filter) I had to remove what was left of the stock line from the tank to install the new fuel line and quick connect. So it actually worked out well for me, now I have the 1/2" (IIRC) from the connection on top of the tank to the inj. pump.

Thanks for everyone's input. I too have the big line kit from Geno's, so it should be a little easier for me.

Happy & Safe Holiday's to Everyone

I have a raptor 150 on mine and it does GREAT. it is a no brainer to order the 150 just because its only $10 more. in your case you saved $10 for those of you who ordered the 100 it has plenty of fuel to offer as well, no worries.
