Does anyone have any info on this mechanical pusher pump by K-O Engineering yet? I can't even find a website on them. Here's a link to a write up but it's ALL I can find.

Call Rip, he's been dealing with Stephan and Bill on this one. DTT is a distributor as well. It's not cheap, but very impressive design I think.

The link is pretty much it except for a few testimonials on a thread somewhere. Better call Stefan... Rip is not a seller.

does anyone have a rough price on what this thing costs? I was going to order a FASS on friday, but price is also going to play a little role. thanks :)

Yes, Stefan Kondolay. The RASP is $629. 00 + $280 (Summit Racing prices) in fittings and line. One of the lousy $17. 00 aeroquip fittings is on backorder and has held up my complete order since JUNE 8th.....

Gonna let you guys test her out, then get Stefan's final word on it, then decide that it's better than any electrical pump could ever be and buy it no matter what you guys think about it :D How's that sound?

24V are you sure you can't get the fitting locally? I live near a few hose manufacturers and they always have what I need. I don't even bother with aeroquip anymore, I just tell them what I need and they fab up hoses for me that have better fittings than aeroquip has. 2 months lag time on a fitting is insane, I'd be pretty hot if I were you.

Rman....

Yeah... I am getting hot over this. It's the classic "the check is in the mail" story where you cut people slack based on what appear to be sincere promises, and then so much time and more unfullfilled promises go by you end up ****** at yourself because you've been such a stupid enabler.

I have tried a couple of other sources for this one part, but no luck. I'll see if I can find a source like you suggest. Thanks.

Hey Paul....

AER-FCM 2255 (#6 female run T)

Summit told me last week that Aeroquip told them they are changing the PN to AER-FBM 2255. Don't know why, but the excuse is that this has been the cause of the delay. Nothing is supposed to be different between the two other than the change in number. Sounds pretty lame to me.

I've also got Stefan trying to get me one.

Any help greatly appreciated.

That's about the only one that I don't have an extra of. I did a search on Summit, and there page says that the AER-FCM 2255 will ship today, and the AER-FBM 2255 will ship 9/1. Descriptions are the same. I know I ordered the AER-FCM 2255, but that was a few months ago.

If I remember right, you are in Canada? The parts stores there carry the Goodridge fittings. The Goodridge part number is: CPL-826-06. Goodridges website is Goodridge. The tee is the same as Aeroquip's but it's just a slightly different color. Still blue but just a little different shade.

I normally don't like to mix hose fittings and braided hose from different manufactures, but this tee is all AN-6 fittings, so there would not be any problems.

I wish I could be more help...

Thanks for the additional info. I'll see if Stefan can get the Goodridge substitute.

I just got off the phone with Summit... . they recognize my voice now  The website search is incorrect. The 2255 is still backordered.

But, I do appreciate very much the work you've done. I'm actually the guy from the Corvallis area who offered to buy you and Zack a beverage of choice when I get down to KFalls. Make that multiple beverages in your case. :D

I remember the beverage offer... I don't know why I thought you were from Canada. My bad...

I agree with paul about getting fittings from other sources. I can use the discounts the company I work for gets at large parts houses locally and buy stuff for about 50% of what list is at Summitt... long as I pay cash the boss doesn't care one bit, as it looks like he's spending more $$$ so he in turn gets a bigger discount next year.

BTW, whenever this KFalls thing happens, let me know. Denis, Luke, and I will surely come up and blow some smoke around for the Ford's and Dmax's to be jealous about.

Josh

Oh, and forgot to add, we'll surely bring beverages too... . if you guys saw the picture of the beer wagon, you know we don't run short around our outfit. :D

I go to a Aeroquip company store in Tampa FL. I'll check if you want me to. They carry a couple of every single Aeroquip fitting in every single size.

Stefan,

On the third gen's I had heard that you/K-O supply an adapter plate to piggyback the Rasp supply line and the stock lift pump in the same location. Is this correct? Can you tell us also what brand of pump is used in the kit? I need a little more info before ordering.

Thanks,

-Richard

Gypsyman,

KO does not supply the adapter to us, we made our own. At this time we have not personally installed this pump on the 2003 3rd gen. We have done the 2004 and had to modify the fan to make it fit. As far as I am aware this pump kit as offered is for the second generation trucks at this time, and I know Bill has been working with them on adapter systems for the 3rd gen trucks. As for the pump specs and or make, that is not information we have. They worked very hard at putting this together and because of the reverse engineering in this industry they wont discuss it. I can tell you we have not had one fail in all of our testing or in the vehicles they are running in. While on the other hand Bill spent his Friday night & Saturday morning helping one of his customers that was stranded running a FASS system that failed get it back to factory so he could get home. That is why I hate the electric system because I have been stranded my self many times with them too. I guess that is why I like this system so much. It runs parallel to the oem system so you wont be left stranded .
