URINE TRAIL!!! That explains alot....

And that explains why the little ******* keeps chewing the same wires! Well the pressure washer is coming out this week end along with some simple green and bleach.

I've been setting a couple traps in the engine bay with no success but I've also been trying to drive it more too so with these new steps we'll see what happens.

Thanks to you all for your ideas/replies... . TDR ROCKS!

This is why you should stay away from buying cheezy air intakes...

That is a bad one:-laf

This is a new topic to me. Only ever had trouble with squirrls in the engine bay, they seemed to like the heat in the dead of winter from the engine, and left nut shells all over the engine bay:mad:

Good luck getting rid of the pesky critters, they can sure cause a lot of damage and the wiring is $$$$$$ to fix, in case you haven't noticed.

You're right about the $$$$$

The first time they chewed the wires off the ABS and some other stuff... I'd left the truck sit most of December and January... $3000 on that one because they can't repair brake stuff... has to be new by law so... one wiring harness was $1200 plus other stuff and labor... insurance paid that one. They've left the expensive stuff alone lately.

I've cleaned it up with simple green so maybe they won't smell their way back, I've put in moth balls and set traps... I sure hope this works.

My in-laws had that problem in Tucson. They installed christmas lights under the hood, nad plugged them in at night when they got home. J. Knight

Best way to keep them out, have a dog feeder. They can haul off approximately 15lbs or more of food a week!! They love my combo of peanut butter and cheese. A pellet rifle works great, find their holes, avenues of approach. They cant help but stall momentarily when hit with a light. Have shot or trapped 6 in less than a week on my FRONT PORCH, beside the dog house. He didn't care if his food was walking off. I haven't liked the glue traps, had one chew off the portion around his feet and LEAVE. Thats bad. #@$%! But the best for me has been the common house cat. I have one that is as ill willed as a creature can be, nothing lives that isn't supposed to. Good luck, and wash everything, they stink.
