i use my truck to plow snow ,so i put about 700lbs. in the box to make up the dif. from the weight up front. i also have the oem overloads on her. i think the springs r slapping the nest. how do i get it to quit? do i need new shocks?i have never had this problem before. or do i have weak springs. it bothers me! i can cure it by removing the overloads, but i should not have to do that. anybody else ever have this problem? she has76000 on her.

When I Got My 9812v with the overloads the banging noise was a little disappointing. To fix it I used some old 2" rubber hose (cut 6"long) and slipped it over the ends of each overload spring. No more noise.

Some members were suggesting a 2" or 3" plumbers rubber collar used in joining black plastic (sewer) vent pipe.

The newer trucks have rubberized stops for the overload spring. And the springs are quiet.
