RATTLE!!! (nv 4500)

Hey got an 03' 3500 drw 2x4 with the dreaded nv4500 and I have a rattle in neutral. Just changed the throwout bearing with a dodge unit and helped a little. got the trans apart and have only found a partially but bad fifth gear countershaft bearing. ???????????? Need help Clutch maybe? got 102k on the truck and I don't know what clutch is in it. I bought it with 88k on it. Thanks for any help

How much endplay are/were in the shafts?

Not sure friend has it at his trans shop??? He said everything looked fine other than the fifth gear. Is the tsb about the 6 speeds rattling have anything to do with it I know they recommend clutch replacement. If it helps it seems to do it more after it gets to operating temp. But clutch works fine and only running a straight pipe. Thanks

Possibly a broken spring in the clutch disk hub? I've had them rattle when the bearings have a lot of wear but the endplay is usually well beyond spec at that point.

Thanks we will take another look at the clutch hub springs and make sure they are not broken I'll let you know tommorrow evening thanks a lot for the advice.
