This might of been a myth but I remember a guy telling me years ago you could cut a potato in half and plug the cut side into the Ravelco to bypass it. I don't know but if there is enough moisture to make electrical contact would'nt it work?

A potatoe? Are you kidding me? I am going to tell you that we got an appology from the Houston Police Chief about accusations about bypassing the Ravelco with a damn SPUD!

That explains it probably heard it from my boss I've been a Houston Police Officer for 22 years. Like I said I was asking if this was a myth I just remembered this being said years ago.

Sorry for being short. It was written by Sam Nuchia January 6, 1994. The point is, the Ravelco can't be bypassed with a spud or hotwiring. We can not stop someone from towing your rig, breaking glass or tearing up the steering column, but I can assure you that they will not be able to bypass it. THere are way too many combinations, wires are all 1 color and 99. 99% of the time they blow fuses in the fuse box because of the way it is wired if they attempt to hotwire it. THey get pi$$ed and try another vehicle.

That is a good looking install. I installed one in an 07 dodge a couple weeks ago and flush mounted it in the area just under yours on the flat spot to the left of the far forward black tray.
