I upgraded the factory RB4 to a RB1 on my dads 05 truck last summer. Truck has the factory sirius. The free one year trial ran out last month. I called up today to re-activate it for him and it will not receive the signal. When the RB1 is in sat mode the volume will not work, there is no sound from test channel 184 and I cannot highlight any of the menu options from the top of the screen. The screen just displays: channel 184 and call 1-888-ect. Do you guys think this is a RB1 problem, sirius box under rear seat, or maybe the antenna. I have tried everything I can think of! Any sugestions would be great. Dealer is a last resort, as it is not the original radio. Thanks!!!

You need to tell sirius the correct serial number on the reciver and radio.

The radio will display the esn # and that is what I gave sirius. I should be able to receive the preview/test channel 185. It will show up on the screen but I have no sound. The only other factor I just remembered was last week I accidentally left the key on aux and the radio was on all night until the battery was totaly dead. Mabe this hurt the receiver some how?

When I did mine they told me to be in a open parking lot. After I called in the info it took a little while to load.
