I installed the RB1 Nav radio in the truck last night (thanks to JGann for your write up and pics by the way) and on the way to work this morning I noticed my instrument cluster was acting funny. All of my gauges would go to zero and go back to normal with a chime sound (did this 3 times).

Has anyone else experienced this problem under the same circumstances?

Man! I'm sorry to hear that! I have had 0 problems so far. Other than checking your connections (easy enough to do) I can't think of anything. Maybe someone else here can comment.

Wow, I can't believe they want $1458 from DC. Did you pay that much or did you find it someplace for less. I think I would have bought one of the units that sits on the dash for half that. Just my $. 02.

Me either, but I only paid $775 for it on ebay, brand new. I also got a Peripheral iPod connector from Crutchfield that hooks into the back of the Nav unit and it sounds amazing! All of this has to work now becuase I can't go back to the FM modulator after this.

I'll have to take another look at the connections this evening but I double checked everthing last night.

Well, I figured out what the problem was. It was the Peripheral iPod Adapter. Diconnected it and the problems went away. I guess I'll have to try the Pie Interface instead. At least the Nav unit works correctly...
