JGann said:Jeff, if it's that important to you then I'll admit whatever you want me to. I suck / You're brilliant. Whatever you want to hear. I know I know. You can get those for $600, brand new, complete, installed for free and a free truck to go with it. Just be patient! The whole world is dumb for not being patient! They want $1,000? Talk them down. They'll come down just because you want them to. Happens all the time.
BTW, the guy sold out of those 3 units at $899 in 20 hours. They're all dumb. Idiots! They don't listen Jeff. They just don't listen. They're all dumb. Why can't they see what's plainly obvious to you? It's incomprehensible!
Better?

You are really taking this all the wrong way. I am not trying to make it sound like I know better, or I am smarter than you or whatever your problem is. I am saying there are deals to be had if you want them. Patience is a virtue, I guess you have none. Some people go through life paying retail for everything, never asking for a better deal. How come people only think they can barter on big things like cars/trucks, houses, etc. and not smaller things like a GPS, welder, tires, etc. Never hurts to ask if there is a better deal to be had.
For example, there are 2 like-new complete kits on ebay right now for $899 (different seller). That is the guy I got mine from. He offered free shipping at the time, and had it listed for $750US buy-it-now. It did not sell. I contacted him and said I would pay $750 CAN for it ($600US) and free shipping and he said sure.
Once again, all I am saying is that for the people that can't afford a $1000 RB1 kit, if you watch ebay and are patient (1-2 weeks) you can find them for less. That is how ebay works. Watch, wait, buy it when it looks like a good deal, etc. Also, don't be afraid to check through the completed listings and find ones that didn't sell. Contact the seller and make an offer. Worst he can say is no.
I definitely do not think you or anyone else is stupid for paying $899+. Still not a bad price, but there are some that still can't afford that, or want to save their hard earned money.
Enjoy your RB1. And yes it will work with Sirius and the steering wheel controls. It also works with the factory 6 disk changers.
