RBW hitch?

Check the weight of the trailer, if its less than the rating of the hitch you should have no problem. You can always upgrade, however upgrading usually means more holes in the box. If you don't plan on a larger trailer it may be worth installing. I hate drilling them holes.

Ed, Been towing a 30' Alfa (gcw 19500#) some 80,000+ miles using the hitch in question without incident. Use it... you won't be disatified.

I have just purchased a 97 Tahoe 26' fifth wheel. The seller gave me his RBW 15k "Lil Rocker" hitch. Does anybody have any opinions on this hitch, good or bad.

Wish I could help you, I have a 20k Reese. I know I like it a lot. The only thing I could say is just make sure it is rated equal to or more than the load you intend to pull. Try it and see, you can always upgrade if needed or you want to.

Ed, RBW is one of the older brands in the industry. They have always worked well for me including this model. I pull about 12,000 lb.

Pro - They use a sliding bar for hitching which is very secure. It tilts side to side which makes coupling on uneven ground easy.

Con - They recommend locking the tilt for towing and the levers are next to impossible to reach with the trailer hooked up. Also end plate in mine was not welded properly and a weld cracked.

I would buy another one as I feel secure with the design. I would look at the welds and beef them up if they don't look all that good.

Ed, I've had that hitch for a number of years and it has always worked fine. I took it out of my Ford when I ditched it and hope to get it my Ram this weekend. RBW is a good company to deal with. I was short a few spacers, brackets, etc. that were left on my Ford. I called them and they sent me install sheet for a 2001 Dodge and the few spacers I needed at no charge. Good people.
