At 50k I had the dealer rebuild my transmission at that time I told them I felt a shudder. I babied it until 68k, 6 weeks before I had scheduled my 2 week vacation. So I returned it to the dealer again, they rebuilt it, and installed a new case, why I don't know. when I got it back 3 and a halve weeks later I drove it to a B&B 50 miles away, I noticed that I had to manually drop it into 1st to get it to start out in 1st. ( truck only, not towing anything) I returned it, they had it for another week and they said it needed a new valve body. ( I found out later the mechanic said I must be towing a heavy load as their was a lot of torque converter material in the pan,and I had not even towed any thing!). Now their saying that the aftermarket BD "pressure loc" could be causing the problem, I checked it, and it works fine. I feel something was missed, installed wrong, or left out. and he it just trying to cover his mistake. Is their any one who might know what might be wrong?

As you can tell I'm upset with this dealer. As I thought I had dropped my truck off to a fly-by-night shop when I asked if they could check the TSB reguarding the rear proportional break valve

and they said they had never seen an "aftermarket valve" like the one on my truck, which is a factory part. Oh, I had to cancel my vacation!#@$*

fact not fiction

BG, Call and talk to the auto transmission Guru. This could save you a few bucks at the dealer if you go in with facts.

It sounds like you are doing business with someone who does NOT understand how to do a good rebuild.

Where are you located? How many miles are on your truck?

Why do you have a pressure loc? that raises a red flag for warranty ,and do you have any engine mods? if so the fault lies with you,the stock trans cannot take any more torque than thestock engine puts out ,unless line pressure changes are made, and the trans is in tip top conditionIf you are at stock power levels, then I suggest you demand a new transmission,as is factory rebuild, not the shop rebuild, they have proved that they are not capable of finding the problem, fixing it,and building it right . at this point the dealer shouldn't even fight on this issue. They should have ditched your pressure lock the first time they worked on it,although in this case i am not convinced it is the problem. I wouldp ull the pressure lock myself at this point to eliminate any doubt as to it causing the problem
