After reading all the posts regarding this subject,I decided to pay a visit to my local stealer. After talking to the tech and being told that basically I was full of crap, I went to another stealer where the techs could'NT find their butts with both hands and a road map!!!!!! I went straight to cummins where they specialize in engines only!!!!!!After talking to the service supervisor for close to half an hour he told to not bother with the pto switch. He went on to tell me that he was pretty sure that the cummins ISB ecm has a fast high idle feature built into it that once activated it can be set and adjusted via the cruise control switch's. Now for the bad news, his electronics guru had already left for day. He went on to tell me that he and his guru are both working tomorrow (Saturday) and they will be looking at the schematic drawings for the ISB and will call me in the morning to give me a definite yes or no to this dilemma.
Now for the REALLY BAD NEWS!!!!!!!! He went to surprise me by telling me that cummins will know longer be able to communicate with their own engines beginning with the 2003's as per DC specs.
Will keep you all posted with results.
