I have used a flashpaq in my 06 3500.

If I use a smarty now, will any trace that is left behind by the

flashpaq be erased by the smarty and be non traceable by the dealer?

Or does the dealer need to update the vehicle first and then use the smarty.

Also what is the recommended setting for towing 16000lbs toyhauler on the smarty? Also does the smarty change the shift patterns in the transmission

thanks for your input

Smarty doesn't erase traces. It just doesn't leave any. So if you are worried about traces, then make sure the vendor that left the traces erase them first. Then you can use Smarty and rest assured that no traces will be left behind.

If you have a dealer that will erase any traces, then by all means get your truck detoxed first. But getting a dealer to reflash your truck is not necessary to use Smarty.

If the flashpaq resets key counts/fuel used the smarty will not be able to fix that. It will just leave the key count/fuel used at whatever it is. A dealer reflash will reset all that stuff to zero and start over.
