Just completed my retorque on the 12mm headstuds. Half of them were loose! And I had the dreaded milkshake on the underside of my valve cover when I took it off. Cleaned out each stud hole with an old headbolt I cut a slot in with a Dremel. Then I lubed up each stud with a moly and graphite assembly lube I got from NAPA. I put it on the washers and fasteners, too, one at a time and line torqued 'em to 90, 110 and 125 with my brand new Crapsman Torque wrench.

Since I had the milkshake under the valve cover I changed the oil and filter. The valve cover was the only place I could find milkshake. The oil looked great and the oil level was normal. I drained the coolant and it looked perfectly clean. Like orange Kool-Aid.

Fired it up and took it for a ride and gained 5 psi in boost and no coolant leaking so far... .

Thanks, Guys for the help. I miss anything???

Brian :)

Drive it for a few days and keep the boost around 20 and no more then proceed with a Line Torque Proceedure on the studs. Drive it for another week still keep the boost around 20psi and do another Line Torque Proceedure on them studs and by then the setup should have enough heat cycles to throw the coal  :-laf

Will do. Thanks, I'm on the third day and so far I still have the coolant IN the engine, which is, you know, a pretty good place for it... ... ...
