Read receipt message

I don't know about others, but this new 'request read receipt' option we're forced to use when we send private messages is really annoying. Most folks are afraid to hit cancel because they think it cancels the PM, and then we're stuck having to hit OK on every pm that requests a read receipt. For one I think read receipts have very very limited worthwhile use, and two its annoying to have extra clicks. I think the option should be retained for whomever would like to use it, however moved to the miscellaneous options area. .

I've looked through the code and this is far from a simple change. It used to be a check box option and I was able to change the default to unchecked very easily. In this case it's coded in as a response box. I've tried to see if I can change it from OK/Cancel to Yes/No but thus far haven't been able to figure out any way to do so. I've looked to see if anyone has released a hack to change it back to the old method and noone has. At some point down the line maybe there will be enough time to make the necessary code changes for this to happen. Right now I have a to do list that goes out to March of next year and everything on that list would be a higher priority than this. I will continue to watch for a hack that changes it.

I bet you thought I forgot about this . Found a hack to change it back to a checkbox and put it in place tonight.
