Looking Good Diesel Shop in NC

when you have created a new album go all the way to the bnottom of the page under all the info you have just entered and there should be a spot where it says browse, and then you can select the image file off your computer and then click the upload button.

by the way, I see you are in Delano, I am in Blue Earth for a while going to school in Mankato. I am not sure where you are at but if it is close I would enjoy getting together and BS'ing about the diesels.

OK Jon, I'll play the dummy. :p

I've been all over this site and I can't find anything that shows where to set up a Reader's Rigs album.

HOW DO I SET UP AN ALBUM??

okay, I apologize I thought you had already started and just couldn't find the album part... .

Start by just going to readers rigs

where it shows everybody's trucks there will be, towards the top, a link that says "manage your gallery" click on that

it will ask you to log in, it is the same as your login to the site

then it will bring you into a new gallery and ask you if you want to create an album, yes you do, that will get info about your truck and what not, when you are done creating that you will be where I had you earlier with adding pics. If you need more help after that just PM me

Thanks Jon.

Just set mine up and tossed up a couple of pics.

Dang, I musta been lookin' for the Big Flashin' Light.

These computers are a PITA. ;)

Maybe some day I'll stop using the White-out when I make a Typo. :D

Yeah there are some things about these that you would think should be alot easier and vice versa. I will go take a look at what ya got. Mine is the cowboy cadillac ones if you are interested.

Oh Yeah!

This is the kinda truck that I've wanted since I was old enough to drive.

I'll never own a gasser as MY primary truck again. :D :D :D

Your's looks real nice too.

I really like the new front bumper.

no browse button

Jon Tish, thanks for the reply. I found the manage button and created an album, however, I am not seeing any browse button to upload my pics. What am I doing wrong?

FYI - Blue earth is about 3 1/2 hours south of me, which isn't a bad drive for me as I usually go up north every weekend and that is about a 3 hour drive. I would love to get together and bs, unfortunately, I am so busy right now. I'm remodeling my Dads place up north and that is using up most of my weekend time. Hopefully when things slow down I'll have more fun time. I would be interested in getting some guys together in the Minnesota area.

Yes,:D

What did you do that I haven't in 20 tries?

I put the [ img ] and the [ /img ] on the ends of the address, (without the spaces) but couldn't get it to work.

I do not know how to post pictures in the reader rigs section or attach one to a post. I read your instructions on how to do the readers rigs, could you explain how to put a picture with a post. I am not talking about from the readers rigs section, I have a Duramax picture that I would like to put in a post. Your instructions will have to be like the one for Shovelhead, I am not real sharp when it comes to computers.

the easiest way to do it is to go to the section marked, attatch file, right above the buttons you click to submit your post and click on browse and then select the image you want off your hard drive and do it that way, exactly like attatching an image to an e-mail

As you can tell by my above post, when it comes to this internet/computer stuff, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.

I STILL can't figure out how to post a pic.

hmmm allright we'll do a step by step from here for you to post a pic right in this thread.

1. you first would click on POST REPLY, this brings you to the screen that has a red bar running across the top labeled POST REPLY

2. below the red bar are the sectioned areas highlighted in either gray or light gray each one is labeled, for example the first section is labeled LOGGED IN USER, now look at each section going down till you see the one labeled ATTATCH FILE

3. it is a light gray field, in there click on the gold button labeled BROWSE, this will create a little pop-up labeled CHOOSE FILE, this is where you look for the pic you are trying to display, usually a JPEG or JPG file, for example dodge.jpg when you find your file click on it and it should show up in the bottom of that pop-up where it says FILE NAME once it is there click the button labeled OPEN

4. when you click the open button it will bring you back to the reply screen and your file name should now be seen in the gray box next to the gold BROWSE button

5. make sure whatever text you wanted has been typed in and then click SUBMIT REPLY and your post will be added and the pic should show up in your reply

When I try to post the picture, after doing what you said, it comes back and says my post is to large. Do you have any suggestions on how to correct the problem? Please keep it simple like before.

Thanks.

Shovelhead, don't feel like the lone stranger!:D I have put pictures in the readers rigs but no matter how hard I try, I can't get them small enough in size to allow posting here. I don't mean small physically but small in file size. It always says the pic file is too large. I use a computer every day but more as a word processor than anything else and I usually have to have someone help me set things up.

resizing images to fit will vary according to what type of image editing program you have. I have Paint Shop Pro and with it I can resize according to file size, pixel width and height, percentile of original and many others. The best I can suggest on that is to go into the help menu and look for info on image sizing or image resizing
