reading the codes?

ok so I push in the tripmeter stalk on the odo and turn on the key, the system goes through and gives a nice light show with dancing guages and flashing lights



then at the end the odo says "C-code" and then "A7 00" then "00 00"



SOmeone tell me what this means if you don't mindOo.

Truck was into dealer last week for the clutch tsb and the alt bracket tsb and a bad reverse light switch. got it back and my mileage has dropped and the engine is louder(not a good louder), not to mention the code...

Damnit! this is why I delayed it going to the dealer, what did they screw up?????

Sorry I missed this thread until just now. I did some checking in the service manuals, and you might not have any problem at all. According to the service manual, when you run the diagnostic self-test on the instrument cluster, "the VF display will illuminate all segments and also display the software version". Is it possible that "A7" is simply the software version? I believe so.
