Actually the Hemi used the NV4500HD 5-speed manual in 2500s/3500s; that transmission was dropped as well at the end of the calendar year 2004. The NV5600 was an extra $400 because until the Cummins 600 was introduced, the NV4500HD was also the standard manual trans with the SO Cummins (235/250hp) - the NV5600 was a required option with the HO Cummins (245hp in 2nd gen, 305hp in 3rd gen).JGann said:I may be wrong but I think that the $400 HD option is mandatory when you get the CTD with NV5600 before it was discontinued. The G56 is now used with both the Cummins and Hemi engines as standard.
