Competition Roll Call for Modifieds at Muncie

Competition Lincoln County Spring Pull, Stanford Ky

He was at Bremerton for the Mopar drags (he was the only diesel :( I had to work) but he only made one run and when he went under 11 seconds (he ran a 10. XX I am not sure) the tech guys went nuts and ran him off the track  no transmission blanket needs an SFI harmonic balancer  (what a joke since we don't go over 4k in rpm anyways) they went over his truck with a fine toothed comb so he bagged it and went home.

That is all I know about that!!!!:D

Tech is getting tougher all the time around here :(

Where in the heck am I supposed to find an SFI certified harmonic balancer for a Cummins?

I know we have a SFI flex plate now (Thanks to the folks at DTT)

A transmission blanket is no biggy either but does anyone know of an SFI certified Balancer??????? If not I hope someone puts one out soon.

How does Garmon pass tech?????

I have been looking for one for some time my self a couple of companys are working on them I will see if I can find the links a gain George

As to Jeff passing tech, there never has been a problem. The truck has a NASCAR type rollcage. The transmission shield has been in use for some time now. The balancer????? What is it? On a diesel? I believe this is a rule that does not apply to diesels. I thought the balancer was for the upper RPM area. Jeff's power is around 3000. When he gets in the 9's, then other issues crop up.

You have to realize, we are the new kid on the block. Fast diesels? Really? Drag racing too? Rules are not in place for diesels. They are going to have to be written by diesel folks to apply to the same. Like Ronda's heigth problem. A gasser issue applyed to a diesel. It's slow but we'll get there.

Just gotta be patient and calm. NHRA has to learn.

. . Preston. .

Preston,

I agree, the problem is on an NHRA track we are being tech'ed to NHRA rules therefore the balancer does aply to us even though we never make enough RPM to cause any concern. Until they (NHRA) come up with a set of rules that apply to diesel racers only we will to do what they ask if we want to race on there tracks.

the fuel cell with big honkin' AN lines...

Does the shutdown switch out back kill the shutdown solenoid, or what?
