ready to bomb

My buddy's got a 06 and he is ready to bomb. He is worried about his warranty so I told him to get a smarty. He also needs gauges so he is considering the attitude moniter, or the bully dog moniter. I am not up to date on the newer models and don't want to spend hours looking up threads so any ideas would be great.

the smarty is the way to go. i would use something like a dipricol or a isspro gauge. not an box style gauge. but thats just me

I would have to agree with that. Call me old fashioned, but I like a good ole mechanical gauge so I know what is going on at all times.

definately, I would go with a pyro, boost, and transmission temp gauge, just my opinion

Yeah, the pressure boxes are real interesting when running a rail gauge.



I'm surprised my relief valve isn't shot.



Boost, EGT, Fuel Pressure, Rail pressure and Trans. temp would be the essential gauges for me if I had an auto. I'd get a full set of gauges before any box. Stock EGT's can get interesting by themselves when loaded.



I'll put forth another vote for a Smarty. Best power adder I have used to date, and I've been through a bunch of 'em. If you prefer a box to a downloader, you cannot go wrong with a new TST, unless you have no self-control. It will break parts fast. Especially turbos and trannies.

I went with Smarty and am very happy. I got a 2" guage from Genos that shows EGT and Boost. Fits in single gage pillar mount from Dodge and you still have your grab handle. Works for me and is a very clean install.

i think you will really enjoy those gauges also. im sure she'll let you have them before x-mas.

i would not turn the smarty past the 60hp setting until he gets an upgraded transmission.
