Rear axle breather broke off

I found the breather fitting on my rear axle has broken off flush with the axle tube. This is one of those fittings that also hold the brake line junction to the axle. Is this just threaded in? I belive a small easy out will take it out. I'm thinking of replacing it with a 1/8" pipe fitting/hose barb combination and just attaching the vent hose.

Don't do that, it's a drilled bolt. I'd replace it with the OEM part after you get the broken piece removed from the housing.

Cost about $3.50. Popular enough that my local dealer stocks it....
