Archived Rear Axle Nut Torque

I NEED HELP WITH THE ADJUSTING PROCEDURE FOR THE REAR AXLE NUT ON MY 96 4X4. THE BOOK SAYS 120 FT. POUNDS BACK OFF 1/8 TURN OR 120 DEG. WHICH IS NOT THE SAME! THANKS EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR HELP UP TO NOW.

The best way to set this up is to use a dial indicator. You want . 001-. 010 end play on the bearings. I set mine up at . 002. Hope this helps.
