Well all was well for a year had new liftpump last August 12,000 miles on 2001 club cab. This August at 23,000miles needed rear axle seal also had power cable recall taken care of. I had done a search earlier about the axle seal and was treated the same way others have the seal is free the like new brake lining that the faulty seal leaked on isn't. Dealer wanted $275 plus tax to replace I had them clean it and close it up I am very displeased with both dealings with Dodge dealers and will not likely buy another. Love the truck can't beat the engine but for the price we pay the warranty should cover or a good dealer should pick up where Dodge lets off. Just FYI for the board. P. S. I posted on the trailering section about a sway problem related to my new tires if anyone else has some insight let me know Thanks!

Warranty should cover the shoes because they did not wear out or fail themselves (12,000 miles on their warranty) but rather they were damaged by a covered part, the seal.

I have had good luck with Raybestos PG+ linings and with NAPA linings.

I had the same problem with the rear seal at 45K miles. Had the 5 year 100K bumper to bumper warranty with the $50 deductable. Just had them do the seal. After they were done I pulled the rear wheels to check their work. They left a ton of grease all over my rear brakes. Cleaned it up with brake cleaner, checked it 3K miles later and it looks good. If I would of listened to the dealer it would of cost me another $300-400 out of my pocket, for brakes. Unless my transmission goes out before I hit 100K miles this extended warranty was a waste of money. I have never bought an extended warranty before in my life, but with all of the talk on here about problems with the auto transmission I figured it would cover the transmission and any other problem. Oh well live and learn.
