Jeff-

You'll need a 2 9/16" socket for the axle nuts. A seal driver (I made one from 2 short 2x4s, works good, even big seals used on semi trucks. ) Something to pull out the old seal from the hub (rolling head prybar or seal puller), RTV silicone to seal the axleshaft from the hub (Use some acetone or brake cleaner to remove all of the oil, or the RTV won't stick. ), a big hammer.

I have a 96 Dana 80. Where's this vent hose you're talkin' about? Does this rear have one?

Same yr & size as mine. It's on the drivers side. There's a hose that runs from the top of the axel to the inside of the frame. They push a plastic fitting into the end of the hose. That's the breather/vent. The hose is attached to the frame rail by a black plastic fastner. Just pop it open, pull down the hose, pull out the plastic fitting & clean it really good. You'll see a couple grooves in it.

Forrest, thanks for the info. Have you Mag-Hytec 'd your 80 yet? Definitely is $$ well spent. Looks great too.
