2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission rear brake conversion

Has anyone done a conversion from drum to disc on their rear brakes? I'm looking at the EGR conversion. I have a 98. 5 4X4 auto with a banks, injectors and a BD converter and valve body. I'm thinking of this conversion instead of an exhaust brake. I'm pulling a 9,000 lb 5th wheel and would like a little more stopping power.

I did it, and I think you will be better off getting the parts from Dodge to get the '02 parts for the rear disk. I have a list of the parts needed. It don't show the hub and I think you might need new hubs because of the outside of the diamerter of the opening of the rims. There are 2 stages to the places where the hub meets the brake drum and the rim. If you put the rim back on without the drum, it tries to wedge on to the other step-up and the rimm will be stuck. This happened to me and I had to ream out the rim opening till it cleared. Anyway, I was told the parts list for the OEM conversion was $100 less than the EGR kit. .
