2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission rear brake shoes

I was installing a new pair of rear brake shoes yesterday and drop one that knocked a piece of the liner loose. A piece about the size of your small finger nail from the inside edge about half way down the shoe. Is it still safe to put these shoes on my truck. Thanks.

if it is just that size and not cracked across the face of the shoe I don't see what it would hurt I would probably say I'll check it out in a month or two and then forget about it until its time for new brakes have a great Christmas Kevin
